All field employees are OSHA 10 Certified, and all management staff are OSHA 30 Certified.  Our team is also up to date on First Aid & CPR Training, Authorized MEWP & Rough Terrain Operators, as well as lead-safe certified.  In addition, our staff participates in several manufacturer installation trainings for key building products and modern building practices.

Yes, Summit Homes is fully licensed & insured to operate in the state of Maine. All work is performed to meet or exceed Maine Uniform Building & Energy Code (MUBEC) standards.  Our staff is dedicated to ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest construction methods and materials. 

We handle a wide variety of residential and commercial projects, from small renovations to large-scale developments.  While our expertise covers most aspects of construction, our specialty and passion is building new, custom homes tailored to each client’s vision.

Project timelines vary by size, scope, and season.  A custom home usually takes around 8 – 14 months from initial discussions to move-in, but smaller renovations or builds can often be completed in just a few months.

We typically quote on a per-project basis, giving you a clear, comprehensive budget up front.
For smaller tasks or repairs, we offer time-and-materials estimate with hourly rates and material costs clearly outlined.

We are fortunate to have one of the largest in-house crews of skilled carpenters in Franklin County, allowing us to do a larger volume of work without sacrificing quality or schedule.  We rely on our experienced team for most of the work and collaborate with trusted, vetted subcontractors when specialized expertise is needed—like Sitework, Electrical, or Plumbing/HVAC.

We will handle it for you. Our team coordinates with the local municipality to manage all necessary permitting and inspections, so you don’t have to navigate the red tape.
